Red Umbrella baby!

I finally found my ultimate patio accessory, a bright bulldog red patio umbrella!!! I can't wait until it warms up to the point where we can eat dinner nightly under it like we did last year, nothing better than a grilled steak and a glass of vino out on our cobblestone patio!!!! Not much going on today, a lot of outside yardwork, playing with the boys, and riding bikes, it's warm out today! Don't forget to spring your clock forward tonight! I love that we;ll have an extra hour of light. I'm Out.

Friday, and I'm looking for a down comforter!

Dropped off Chandler and our neighbor John Cole at school, then headed over to Addison's preschool. WOW, SILENCE in the car!!!!! I went to get a few things mostly to find a down comforter for our guest bedroom. I fell in love with the one in our hotel room in Anaheim, I'd get one for our bed too, but the bedding on our bed is fairly new, but after I tire of the current bedding I will switch to a big comfy king size down comforter. Found one almost identical to the one in the hotel, bought it and guess what, not big enough for my queen size bed although it's labeled QUEEN!!!! SUCKS!!! Got my photos put in my Anaheim Album, boy was that a fun trip, it's amazing what a little valium can do to calm your nerves on a flight. We saw so many places while we were out there, Haunted Queen Mary, Newport Beach, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Los Angeles, Malibu, and of course Anaheim since we were based there. If you're ever outt here you must eat at Rusty Pelican in Newport Beach, very good ahi tuna, Moonshadows for drinks and app in Malibu overlooks the Pacific Ocean, and Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills. At Mr. Chow we did the option of letting our Maitre D choose our menu and he was spot on except for the butterfly pillows. Other than that it was phenomenal! Even saw Kimore Lee Simmon, creator of Baby Phat and ex-wife of Russell Simmons coming in as we were exiting. Papparazzi were everywhere outside Mr. Chow. Addison is taking his afternoon nap only 2 more hours till I have to pick up Chandler. Man I am looking forward to a good glass of red wine tonight and maybe some ahi tuna!! Have a good Friday! I'm Out!

Some pictures since January 2007

It's been awhile.......

Man it has been over a year since I last did a post on my blog. I am going to try and stick with it this year though, call it a belated new years resolution. So far this year, we've been to Cary, NC to see sister and for marc's business, the mountain in NC to take the boys tubing, and to Anaheim, California for 7 wonderful ADULT days with Marcs work. I don't like to fly so I was hesitant to go, but it was an easy flight out and once I got there I had a blast. I saw Hollywood, Los Angeles, Malibu, Santa Monica, Newport Beach, Beverly Hills, the driveway to the Playboy Mansion, and even ate at Mr. Chow's in Beverly Hills. It was a fun week, met new friends with CMAA, and had fun getting to know Stephanie, since we spent most of our time in the car traveling to these places. Jin Song an old duddy from our Macon, Georgia days, even drove up from San Diego to see us one night! It was great to see Jin! I'll post a few pictures, gotta run do some painting on some baseboards, fun fun!

It's Friday!!!!!!!!!

Thank God for Fridays!!!!!!! Chandler is at school, Marc is in the bed not feeling to good, and I just got back from Addison's ENT doctor appt, only to be told his ear is still infected, so we'll see him back in 10 days. I am so tired of these ear infections, what was the purpose of the tubes in his ears, because he still gets them. FRUSTRATING!!!!
Anyway, there are people with a lot more problems than kids with just ear infections. My life is good so I can't complain. I can't believe I have to wait a whole 8 more months to see my Dawgs play again. I am on the waiting list for the womens football camp at UGA in June, forgot to get my application in on time......Imagine that. There was nothing on tv last night so Marc and I split a bottle of red wine and watched the Georgia/Georgia Tech game again after I put the boys to bed. DVR/Tivo is the best thing since sliced bread. Mom, Dad, sister Kathy, and nephew Talon are on the way to our house this weekend. Well gotta run for now, need to pack for my 2 nights in Raleigh tomorrow. Have a great weekend everyone, I know I will!!!!

It's almost Friday......

I woke up this morning to the sound of an alarm clock, thanks to Addison. He was playing with it last night and must have turned it on. Addison is our 2 year old and is full of mischief, Chandler is the 6 year old and is the little angel, most of the time. Kids are great, can't imagine my life without them. Both of them are boys, so I know I will be well taken care of in my later years, at least I better be.
We are heading to Raleigh North Carolina for a quarterly meeting for Marc's chapter of Club Managers Association of America (CMAA). He is on the board now, and I am so proud of him, he's come along way from waiting tables at River North/Healey Point Country Club in Macon, Georgia. He is the General Manager of The Point Lake and Golf Club now. Sweet place, check it out www.the-pointclub.com Can't wait to spend some adult alone time together with him. I think I'll end on that note. Have a GREAT Thursday!!!!

Another day in carpool

Trying to figure out this blogging thing. What is the big deal about it. I have a friend in Iraq that just started one and it seems like a great way to stay in touch with friends that you don't see on a daily/weekly basis and get a look into my life. Not that life in Huntersville, NC is like living on Wisteria Lane or anything, maybe it is.
Chandler is off at school and Addison is watching a train cartoon, he loves trains. I am off to the gym here shortly to do a yoga ball class, thank god there are no cameras in this class, picture 25 women each with their own big "beach ball" bending like a twister game all over it, looks perverted, but hey if it gets my a$$ in shape then so be it. Don't feel that I am terribly out of shape, but I have 2 kids need I say more, you can always tighten up certain body parts. I am already thinking about that bikini for the summer, ouch! I was just in the mall yesterday and every major department store had swimsuits out, how can you not think about it. Crazy and it's only January.
I guess this is where I'll end my first post. Hope everyone has a great day, mine is off to a good start!
